Sabine River Near Hawkins affecting Wood, Upshur and Smith Counties. For the Sabine River...including Mineola, Hawkins, Gladewater, Longview, Beckville, Logansport...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Sabine River near Hawkins. * WHEN...From late tonight to early Monday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 25.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding of pastures and boatramps. Move livestock and equipment to higher ground. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:45 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 22.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage just after midnight tonight to a crest of 24.6 feet early Saturday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Monday morning. - Flood stage is 23.0 feet. Do not drive cars through flooded areas. The next statement will be issued Friday afternoon at 100 PM CDT.
