In northeast Texas, Delta, Henderson, Hopkins, Lamar, Rains and Van Zandt. * WHEN...Through Sunday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Rainfall totals of 1.5 to 3 inches, with isolated higher amounts of 3 to 5 inches. Flash Flood Warning issued April 26 at 3:46PM CDT until April 26 at 6:30PM CDT by NWS Fort Worth TX FFWFWD The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Kaufman County in north central Texas... * Until 630 PM CDT. * At 346 PM CDT, emergency management reported flash flooding ongoing in parts of Kaufman county due to heavy rainfall. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches per hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible. Flash flooding is already occurring, with many roads becoming impassable. Some high water rescues are in progress in the town of Kaufman. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Terrell, Seagoville, Kaufman, Mabank, Crandall, Combine, Talty, Seven Points, Kemp, Grays Prairie, Cottonwood, New Terrell City Lake, Cedar Creek Reservoir, Elmo, Scurry, Oak Grove, Post Oak Bend City, Rosser, Oak Ridge and Ola. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Dangerous flash flooding is occurring or is imminent.
