Flood Watch issued April 27 at 12:51PM CDT until April 28 at 1:00PM CDT by NWS Tulsa OK * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Arkansas, including the following counties, Benton, Carroll, Crawford, Franklin, Madison, Sebastian and Washington AR and Oklahoma, including the following counties, Adair, Choctaw, Haskell, Latimer, Le Flore, Pushmataha and Sequoyah. * WHEN...From 4 PM CDT this afternoon through Sunday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop to the west of the area this afternoon and increase in coverage and intensity as these storms move into eastern Oklahoma this evening and into northwest and west central Arkansas tonight. Expect rainfall totals from 2 to 4 inches to be common, with localized amounts up to 6 inches. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued April 28 at 2:31AM CDT until April 28 at 3:00AM CDT by NWS Tulsa OK At 231 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 2 miles east of Pineville to Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport to 2 miles east of Cincinnati, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations in or near the path include... Fayetteville... Springdale... Rogers... Bentonville... Siloam Springs... Bella Vista... Lowell... Farmington... Pea Ridge... Prairie Grove... Gentry... Tontitown... Gravette... West Fork... Lincoln... Cave Springs... Decatur... Greenland... West Siloam Springs... Highfill... This includes Interstate 49 between mile markers 53 and 93. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 300 AM CDT for northeastern Oklahoma. A Tornado Watch also remains in effect until 700 AM CDT for northwestern Arkansas...and northeastern Oklahoma. A tornado watch remains in effect for the warned area. Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Although a tornado is not immediately likely, if one is spotted act quickly and move to a place of safety inside a sturdy structure, such as a basement or small interior room.
