Flood Advisory issued June 4 at 10:08PM CDT until June 5 at 1:15AM CDT by NWS Duluth MN * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...In Minnesota, Carlton and St. Louis Counties and Wisconsin, Douglas County. * WHEN...Until 115 AM CDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1007 PM CDT Tuesday, Doppler radar indicated ongoing moderate rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.75 and 1.75 inches of rain have fallen already fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Duluth, Superior, Cloquet, Hermantown, Proctor, Scanlon, Carlton, Mahtowa, Oliver, Wrenshall, Holyoke, Thomson, Brookston, Jay Cooke State Park, Pike Lake Near Duluth, Saginaw, City of Rice Lake, Fond Du Lac Band Cloquet Area, Foxboro and Pattison State Park. - Flood safety information can be found at www.weather.gov/safety/flood. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and to the National Weather Service in Duluth when you can do so safely.
