yellow warning - severe thunderstorm - in effect At 12:59 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing strong wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and very heavy rain. Thunderstorm Location: From Alpine Village to Curve Lake to Bridgenorth Motion: Moving east at 60 km/h. Hazards: Up to 90 km/h winds. Up to quarter sized hail. Locally heavy rainfall with up to 60 mm possible. Locations in the Path: Curve Lake Bridgenorth Lakefield Wolf Island Provincial Park Kawartha Highlands Signature Site Park Apsley Petroglyphs Provincial Park Quackenbush Provincial Park Norwood Havelock ### Local utility outages are likely. Damage to roofs, fences, soft shelters or trees is likely. Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Large hail may cause significant damage and injury. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain. Take immediate cover if a thunderstorm approaches. If outside, protect yourself from flying debris and hail. Don't drive through flooded roadways. Avoid low-lying areas. Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
