พื้นที่เสี่ยงภัยฝนตกหนัก ลมตะวันตกเฉียงใต้พัดปกคลุมประเทศไทยตอนบน ในขณะที่บริเวณดังกล่าวมีอากาศร้อนในตอนกลางวัน ประกอบกับมีหย่อมความกดอากาศต่ำปกคลุมบริเวณประเทศเวียดนามตอนบน ลักษณะเช่นนี้ทำให้ประเทศไทยตอนบนมีฝนฟ้าคะนอง กับมีลมกระโชกแรงบางแห่ง และมีฝนตกหนักบางพื้นที่ในภาคเหนือ ภาคกลางและภาคตะวันออก ขอให้ประชาชนในบริเวณดังกล่าวระวังอันตรายจากฝนฟ้าคะนอง ลมกระโชกแรง และฝนตกหนักที่อาจจะเกิดขึ้นในระยะนี้ไว้ด้วย สำหรับลมตะวันตกเฉียงใต้และลมตะวันออกเฉียงใต้พัดปกคลุมทะเลอันดามัน ภาคใต้ และอ่าวไทย ประกอบกับหย่อมความกดอากาศต่ำปกคลุมบริเวณเกาะสุมาตรา ลักษณะเช่นนี้ยังคงทำให้ภาคใต้มีฝนตกหนักบางแห่ง ขอให้ประชาชนบริเวณภาคใต้ระวังอันตรายจากฝนตกหนักไว้ด้วย อนึ่ง ในช่วงวันที่ 20 - 23 พ.ค. 67 ลมตะวันตกเฉียงใต้ที่พัดปกคลุมทะเลอันดามัน ประเทศไทย และอ่าวไทยจะมีกำลังแรงขึ้น ประกอบกับในช่วงวันที่ 22 - 26 พ.ค. 67 จะมีหย่อมความกดอากาศต่ำปกคลุมบริเวณอ่าวมะตะบัน ประเทศเมียนมา และมีแนวโน้มจะทวีกำลังแรงขึ้น ลักษณะเช่นนี้ทำให้ประเทศไทยมีฝนเพิ่มขึ้นและมีฝนตกหนักบางแห่ง โดยมีฝนตกหนักมากบางพื้นที่บริเวณด้านตะวันตกของภาคเหนือและภาคกลาง และภาคใต้ฝั่งตะวันตก ขอให้ประชาชนบริเวณประเทศไทยระวังอันตรายจากฝนตกหนักถึงหนักมาก และฝนที่ตกสะสมซึ่งอาจทำให้เกิดน้ำท่วมฉับพลัน และน้ำป่าไหลหลาก โดยเฉพาะพื้นที่ลาดเชิงเขาใกล้ทางน้ำไหลผ่านและพื้นที่ลุ่ม รวมทั้งเพิ่มความระมัดระวังในการสัญจรผ่านบริเวณ ที่มีฝนฟ้าคะนอง สำหรับคลื่นลมบริเวณทะเลอันดามันและอ่าวไทยจะมีกำลังแรงขึ้น โดยบริเวณทะเลอันดามันตอนบนมีคลื่นสูง 2-3 เมตร บริเวณที่มีฝนฟ้าคะนองคลื่นสูงมากกว่า 3 เมตร ทะเลอันดามันตอนล่างมีคลื่นสูงประมาณ 2 เมตร บริเวณที่มีฝนฟ้าคะนองคลื่นสูงมากกว่า 2 เมตร อ่าวไทยมีคลื่นสูงประมาณ 1 เมตร ห่างฝั่งคลื่นสูง 1–2 เมตร บริเวณที่มีฝนฟ้าคะนองคลื่นสูงมากกว่า 2 เมตร ชาวเรือบริเวณทะเลอันดามันตอนบนควรงดการเดินเรือ ส่วนชาวเรือบริเวณทะเลอันดามันตอนล่างและอ่าวไทยควรเดินเรือด้วยความระมัดระวังและหลีกเลี่ยงการเดินเรือในบริเวณที่มีฝนฟ้าคะนองไว้ด้วย

็Heavy rain risk areas The southwesterly winds prevails over the upper Thailand and hot weather during the day are likely in the whole areas. while the low-pressure cell covers the upper Vietnam. Thundershowers with gusty wind are likely in the upper country and isolated heavy rain are possible in the North, the lower Central and the East regions. People in the upper country should beware of severe conditions. The Southweterly and Southeasterly winds covers the Gulf, the South and the Andaman Sea while the low-pressure cell covers Sumatra Island with isolated heavy rains in the South. People in the South should beware of the severe conditions. In addition during 20–23 May 2024, the southwesterly wind prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf will strengthen while during 22–26 May 2024, the low-pressure cell covers the Gulf of Martaban, Myanmar. More rains and isolated heavy rains are likely in the country while isolated very heavy rains are possible in the western part of the North and the Central and the South (west coast). People should beware of the severe conditions that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially, along waterways and lowlands, and take more caution in thundershowers. The strengthening wind and waves are likely 2-3 meters high in the upper Andaman Sea and above 3 meters in thundershowers, the waves in the lower Andaman Sea and the lower Gulf about 2 meters high and more than 2 meters high in thundershowers while the waves in the Gulf are likely about 1 meter high, 1-2 meters offshore and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
