Flood Advisory issued July 12 at 9:31PM CDT until July 12 at 11:30PM CDT by NWS Birmingham AL * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of central Alabama, including the following county, Clay. * WHEN...Until 1130 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 931 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Lineville, Ashland, Mellow Valley, Millerville and Cragford. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
