Special Weather Statement issued June 20 at 2:20PM AKDT by NWS Fairbanks AK Saturday afternoon hot temperatures continue to impact most of the Central and Eastern Interior, with high temperatures climbing back into the 80s. Take caution when participating in outdoor activities. Stay hydrated and limit strenuous outdoor activity in the afternoon when temperatures are the highest.

Hydrologic Outlook issued June 21 at 12:29PM AKDT by NWS Fairbanks AK ESFAFG A front is expected to move westward over the state towards the beginning of this week. As this front progresses, we are expecting widespread rain showers and thunderstorms to begin Tuesday morning for the eastern Alaska Range and spread west by Tuesday afternoon during the time of heaviest rainfall with totals as high as 1" or more in some locations. Rapid rises of smaller rivers are possible with the heaviest rain on Tuesday in and near the Alaska Range. We will continue to keep you updated as more information becomes available.
