Red Flag Warning issued June 16 at 2:00AM MST until June 17 at 8:00PM MST by NWS Flagstaff AZ ...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM MST /NOON MDT/ TO 8 PM MST /9 PM MDT/ MONDAY FOR PORTIONS OF NORTHERN ARIZONA... * AFFECTED AREA...Locations near Dilkon, Doney Park, Flagstaff, Grand Canyon, Kykotsmovi, North Rim, Tuba City, Valle and Williams. This includes portions of the Coconino National Forest, Kaibab National Forest and Prescott National Forest. * WINDS...Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 5 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fires that start will have the potential to rapidly grow in size and intensity before first responders can contain them. A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring or are imminent. A combination of strong winds and low relative humidities can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
