Hourly rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible. Flood Advisory issued July 6 at 2:26PM EDT until July 6 at 4:30PM EDT by NWS Upton NY * WHAT...Flooding caused by heavy rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southern Connecticut, including the following counties, Middlesex, New Haven and New London. * WHEN...Until 430 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 226 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... New Haven, Milford, Shelton, New London, Guilford, Clinton, Groton, Old Saybrook, Chester, Mystic, Hamden, Stratford, Branford, North Haven, Waterford, East Lyme, Ledyard, North Branford, Orange and Derby. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
