In Maryland, Caroline, Kent MD, Queen Annes, and Talbot Counties. * WHEN...From 8 AM to 8 PM EDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1.

Waters from Cape May NJ to Fenwick Island DE from 20 to 60 NM... Waters from Great Egg Inlet NJ to Cape May NJ from 20 to 60 NM... At 1032 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located 8 nm west of Indian River Inlet Bridge, moving east at 40 knots. Locations impacted include... Overfalls Shoal, Five Fathoms Buoy, Fenwick Island, Buoy 4fb, Cape May Reef, Cape Henlopen, Rehoboth Beach, Bethany Beach, Delaware Lightship Buoy 44009, Buoy 2ms, and Indian River Inlet Bridge. Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes. This strong thunderstorm will likely produce winds to around 30 knots, and could pose a serious hazard for boaters. A special marine warning may eventually be required when this storm reaches the nearshore waters. Boaters should consider heading for shore before the storm arrives.
