Terrain induced storms Monday afternoon will cause locally much heavier rainfall. Flows in rivers may quickly increase and reach critical levels. There is potential for mud and rockslides. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall and snowmelt is possible. * WHERE...A portion of west central Idaho, including the following areas, Boise Mountains and West Central Mountains. * WHEN...From midnight MDT tonight through Monday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Potential for mud and rockslides to block roads. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Forecast storm total rainfall is just under an inch in mountain valleys and up to 2-3 inches on ridges. Snowmelt will augment rainfall amounts, especially in high terrain.
