Extreme Heat Warning issued July 1 at 3:33AM CDT until July 3 at 8:00PM CDT by NWS Paducah KY * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions can be expected with heat index values from 105 to 115 degrees. * WHERE...all of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeast Missouri. * WHEN...Until 8 PM CDT /9 PM EDT/ Friday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Wabash River at Mount Carmel. ...The Flood Warning is cancelled for the following rivers in Indiana... White River at Petersburg. .Minor river flooding has ended on the White River at Petersburg... but will continue at Hazleton through Thursday morning...as well as on the Wabash River at Mount Carmel through late Wednesday. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Mount Carmel. * WHEN...Until early Thursday morning. * IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, River is bankfull in all locations. All oil field production ceases with the exception of pumping units on substructures. Access to these are by boat only. Agricultural losses increase dramatically. Farmers move livestock to higher ground.
