Heat Advisory issued June 27 at 1:59AM CDT until July 3 at 12:00AM CDT by NWS St Louis MO * WHAT...Heat index values over 100 expected. * WHERE...Portions of south central, southwest, and west central Illinois and central, east central, northeast, and southeast Missouri. * WHEN...From noon Sunday to midnight CDT Thursday Night. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances. Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When possible reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing when possible. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1.

Flood Advisory issued June 27 at 12:08PM CDT until June 27 at 3:15PM CDT by NWS St Louis MO * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Clinton County in south central Illinois... Washington County in south central Illinois... Saint Clair County in southwestern Illinois... * WHEN...Until 315 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1208 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Belleville, O'Fallon, East St. Louis, Collinsville, Fairview Heights, Cahokia, Swansea, Shiloh, Mascoutah, Centreville, Breese, Lebanon, Freeburg, Caseyville, Washington Park, Dupo, Millstadt and Madison. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
