Blowing Dust Warning issued May 21 at 8:15PM CDT until May 22 at 12:00AM CDT by NWS Lincoln IL * WHAT...Widespread blowing dust. * WHERE...De Witt, Logan, Macon, McLean, Piatt, Tazewell, and Champaign Counties. * WHEN...Until midnight CDT tonight. * IMPACTS...Severely limited visibilities are expected. Travel will be dangerous and possibly life-threatening. Persons with respiratory problems should make preparations to stay indoors until the storm passes. Be ready for a sudden drop in visibility to near zero. If you encounter blowing dust or blowing sand on the roadway or see it approaching, pull off the road as far as possible and put your vehicle in park. Turn the lights all the way off and keep foot off the brake pedal. Remember, 'Pull Aside, Stay Alive'.

Champaign, Decatur, Urbana, Danville, Charleston, Mattoon, Rantoul, Paris, Clinton, Monticello, Hoopeston, Shelbyville, Tuscola, Sullivan, Marshall, Arcola, Casey, Neoga, Greenup, and Toledo. This includes the following highways... Interstate 55 between mile markers 179 and 186. Interstate 57 between mile markers 169 and 257. Interstate 70 between mile markers 111 and 154. Interstate 72 between mile markers 131 and 182. Interstate 74 between mile markers 142 and 220. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
