Flood Warning issued June 22 at 12:29AM CDT until June 22 at 6:15AM CDT by NWS Chicago IL * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of northeast Illinois, including the following county, Cook and northwest Indiana, including the following counties, Lake IN and Porter. * WHEN...Until 615 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1221 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated between 2 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen today. River gauges on area streams and creeks indicate that flooding is ongoing in the warned area as a result of this heavy rainfall. This is particularly the case along the portions of the Little Calumet, Thorn Creek, Butterfield Creek and Hart Ditch. - The heavy rainfall is expected to come to an end overnight, but area streams and rivers will remain elevated through the night. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
