In north central Iowa, Butler, Cerro Gordo, Franklin, Hancock, Winnebago, Worth and Wright. In northeast Iowa, Black Hawk and Bremer. * WHEN...Through Thursday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Heavy rainfall has occurred over parts of north central and northeast Iowa where a band of 3 to 6 inches or rainfall has occurred. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Mason City, Nora Springs, Manly, Rockwell, Mason City Municipal Airport, Clear Lake, Ventura, Plymouth, Fertile, Kensett, Grafton, Hanlontown, Swaledale, Rock Falls, Burchinal, Portland, Bolan, Clear Lake State Park and McIntosh Woods State Park.
