In Vermont, Western Windham County. * WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There will be little to no relief at night, with low temperatures in the upper 60s to lower 70s along with humid conditions persisting across much of the area Wednesday night and Thursday night. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1.

Southern Bennington County in southern Vermont... * Until 1115 PM EDT. * At 1014 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Hoosick Falls to near Berlin to Stephentown, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Pittsfield, Bennington, North Adams, Hoosick Falls, Nassau, Adams, Williamstown, Pownal, Cheshire, Stephentown, New Lebanon, Grafton, Berlin, Stamford, Readsboro, Florida, Hancock, Savoy, New Ashford, and Averill Park.
