Special Weather Statement issued June 23 at 11:34AM EDT by NWS Albany NY One or multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon and evening across eastern New York and western New England. Thunderstorms will begin to develop across the southern Adirondacks and western Mohawk Valley around 2 pm and push eastward into New England ending by around 8pm. All hazards are possible including large hail, damaging winds and a tornado. Heavy downpours are possible as well which could result in some localized flooding.
