Several roads are closed in the warning area and are expected to remain so for several more hours. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... St. Joseph, Atchison, Savannah, Gallatin, Wathena, Elwood, Mound City, Maysville, Highland, Troy, Country Club Villa, Country Club, King City, Oregon, Agency, Jamesport, Union Star, Gilman City, Pattonsburg and Amazonia. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Missouri River at St Joseph affecting Buchanan, Doniphan and Andrew Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Missouri River at St Joseph. * WHEN...Until late Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Lowland flooding upstream and downstream from St. Joseph occurs. At 19.0 feet, Backwater from the Missouri River floods property along the Nodaway river at Nodaway, Missouri. At 21.0 feet, Riverfront Park in St. Joseph begins to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 16.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this morning to a crest of 20.1 feet this evening.
