High Wind Warning issued June 15 at 2:01PM MDT until June 16 at 9:00AM MDT by NWS Great Falls MT * WHAT...West winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 70 mph expected. * WHERE...East Glacier Park Region and Adjacent Plains, and Southern High Plains. * WHEN...Until 9 AM MDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult, especially for high profile vehicles or those pulling trailers. High winds may move loose debris, damage property and cause power outages. People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind. Remember, a High Wind Warning means that there is at least an 80% chance of 40 mph sustained winds or 58 mph wind gusts occurring during the warning period.

Total snow accumulations up to 6 inches possible between 6000 and 8000 feet, with higher amounts possible in the highest terrain. * WHERE...The Continental Divide along the Rocky Mountain Front. * WHEN...From Monday morning through Tuesday evening. * IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult, especially on backcountry roads. Those in the backcountry should ensure they have appropriate knowledge and gear and may want to consider alternate plans. The heavy, wet nature of snow can bring down tree limbs and power lines. Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation. Remember, a Winter Storm Watch means that there is at least a 50% chance of impactful winter weather conditions during the watch period.
