While total rainfall amounts will surely vary considerably across the area, confidence is increasing in widespread totals between 1 and 3 inches, with as much as 3 to 5 inches possible in a narrow swath or two if storms continue training over the same places. Given the potential for very heavy rainfall in parts of the area, along with the fact that much of it could fall in a short time, this Watch has been issued. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
