FRANCIS, STRATTON NE, AND TRENTON.

Flood Watch issued May 20 at 11:28PM MDT until May 21 at 6:00AM MDT by NWS Goodland KS * WHAT...Flash flooding associated with slow moving thunderstorms remains possible through sunrise. * WHERE...A portion of southwest Nebraska, including the following counties, Dundy, Hitchcock and Red Willow. * WHEN...Until 6 AM MDT /7 AM CDT/ Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Slow moving thunderstorms producing torrential rainfall will track eastward across southwest Nebraska early this morning. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued May 21 at 1:53AM CDT until May 21 at 2:15AM CDT by NWS Goodland KS At 152 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 11 miles east of Hayes Center to 10 miles southwest of Stockville to 4 miles southwest of Indianola to 9 miles north of Herndon, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. These severe storms will be near... Indianola and Bartley around 200 AM CDT. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 300 AM CDT for southwestern Nebraska. This is an EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION with tornado like wind speeds expected. Mobile homes and high profile vehicles are especially susceptible to winds of this magnitude and may be overturned. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. These storms have the potential to cause serious injury and significant property damage.
