Flood Watch issued July 6 at 2:11PM EDT until July 6 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of northern Delaware, including the following area, New Castle, New Jersey, including the following areas, Atlantic, Atlantic Coastal Cape May, Camden, Cape May, Coastal Atlantic, Coastal Ocean, Cumberland, Eastern Monmouth, Gloucester, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris, Northwestern Burlington, Ocean, Salem, Somerset, Southeastern Burlington, Sussex, Warren and Western Monmouth, and Pennsylvania, including the following areas, Berks, Carbon, Delaware, Eastern Chester, Eastern Montgomery, Lehigh, Lower Bucks, Monroe, Northampton, Philadelphia, Upper Bucks, Western Chester and Western Montgomery. * WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional heavy showers and thunderstorms will impact the area this afternoon. Localized rain amounts of over 2 inches in an hour will be possible, leading to areas of flash flooding. In southern New Jersey, Ocean. * WHEN...Until 715 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 307 PM EDT, emergency management reported flooding in the warned area. Flooding is already occurring. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Long Branch, Asbury Park, Tinton Falls, Manasquan, Point Pleasant Beach, Farmingdale, Elberon, Collingwood Park, Allenwood, Ramtown, Point Pleasant and Eatontown. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
