Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued July 9 at 9:46PM CDT until July 9 at 10:15PM CDT by NWS Bismarck ND At 946 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 8 miles south of Cleveland to 8 miles north of Braddock, or along a line from 21 miles southwest of Jamestown to 29 miles north of Linton, moving south at 35 mph. HAZARD...Two inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Steele, Gackle, Medina, Tappen, Streeter, Cleveland, Dawson, Lake Isabel, Crystal Springs and Streeter Memorial. Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. These storms are capable of producing dangerous hail and damaging winds. These dangerous storms are capable of producing large hail driven by severe winds! Seek shelter now inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows! High temperatures will range from around 92 to 102 Saturday, 97 to 107 on Sunday, and 95 to 105 on Monday. * WHERE...All of western and central North Dakota including the James River Valley. * WHEN...From Saturday afternoon through late Monday night. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Overnight low temperatures will only drop to around 70 degrees, providing little relief from the heat.
