Flood Advisory issued June 21 at 7:30AM CDT until June 21 at 10:30AM CDT by NWS Tulsa OK * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Oklahoma, including the following county, Osage. * WHEN...Until 1030 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 730 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Estimates of up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Bartlesville... Pawhuska... Shidler... Burbank... Grainola... Foraker... Pearsonia... Heat Advisory issued June 20 at 11:20PM CDT until June 21 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Tulsa OK * WHAT...Heat index values up to 108 expected. * WHERE...Portions of northwest and west central Arkansas and east central, northeast, and southeast Oklahoma. * WHEN...From 1 PM to 7 PM CDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses are possible especially impacting those not acclimated to the conditions or those performing strenuous activities. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
