In northeast Texas, Anderson, Delta, Henderson, Hopkins, Lamar, Leon, Rains and Van Zandt. In south central Texas, Milam and Robertson. * WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches, with isolated higher amounts up to 4 inches. Flash Flood Warning issued April 28 at 6:35AM CDT until April 28 at 7:45AM CDT by NWS Fort Worth TX At 635 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms produced heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 2.75 inches of rain have fallen. The heavy rain has ended, but flooding of low lying and/or poor drainage areas may continue for a few hours until the water has had a chance to recede. Please continue to heed remaining road closures. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Dallas, Garland, Irving, Grand Prairie, Mesquite, Richardson, Rowlett, Desoto, Cedar Hill, Wylie, Duncanville, Lancaster, Balch Springs, University Park, Sachse, Seagoville, Highland Park, Hutchins, Cockrell Hill and Sunnyvale. This includes the following highways... Interstate 35E between mile markers 416 and 436. Interstate 45 between mile markers 274 and 284. Interstate 20 between mile markers 454 and 485. Interstate 30 between mile markers 32 and 64. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Trinity River At Dallas affecting Dallas County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Trinity River at Dallas. * WHEN...From this afternoon to early Tuesday morning. * IMPACTS...At 38.0 feet, Moderate flooding will begin along the river both above and below the Commerce Street bridge. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 5:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 25.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 30.0 feet. - Flood stage is 30.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this afternoon to a crest of 34.4 feet late this evening. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow afternoon. Do not drive cars through flooded areas. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
