Special Weather Statement issued April 28 at 7:46AM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX At 746 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Jarrell to near Bee Cave to near Santa Clara to near Somerset to near Goldfinch. Movement was east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph, half inch hail, and rainfall up to 1.5 inches. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... San Antonio, Austin, Round Rock, New Braunfels, Cedar Park, Georgetown, San Marcos, Pflugerville, Schertz, Kyle, Seguin, Cibolo, Universal City, Taylor, Live Oak, Buda, Lockhart, Pleasanton, Selma, and Pearsall. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... San Antonio, Austin, Round Rock, New Braunfels, Cedar Park, Georgetown, San Marcos, Pflugerville, Schertz, Kyle, Cibolo, Universal City, Taylor, Live Oak, Buda, Boerne, Selma, Pearsall, Hondo, and Devine. Flood Advisory issued April 28 at 7:13AM CDT until April 28 at 10:15AM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following counties, Bexar, Comal, Hays, Travis and Williamson. * WHEN...Until 1015 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 713 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... San Antonio, Austin, Round Rock, New Braunfels, Cedar Park, San Marcos, Pflugerville, Schertz, Kyle, Universal City, Live Oak, Buda, Selma, Dripping Springs, Wimberley, Canyon Lake Dam, Tanglewood Forest, Austin Bergstrom Int Airport, San Antonio Int Airport and Anderson Mill. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
