Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Waxahachie, Ennis, Hillsboro, Ferris, Whitney, Palmer, Italy, Itasca, Maypearl, Bardwell, Alma, Covington, Carl's Corner, Bardwell Lake, Aquilla Lake, Lake Whitney State Park, Lake Whitney, Garrett, Milford and Bristol. Water over roadways. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. Ponding of water on roadways is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will likely cause urban and small stream flooding to continue. Low lying and/or poor drainage areas will experience minor flooding in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Grand Prairie, Mansfield, Cedar Hill, Waxahachie, Cleburne, Ennis, Midlothian, Glenn Heights, Red Oak, Hillsboro, Alvarado, Clifton, Ovilla, Venus, Ferris, Whitney, Palmer, Italy, Itasca and Grandview.
