Flood Warning issued April 29 at 2:10AM CDT until April 29 at 10:00AM CDT by NWS Houston/Galveston TX * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following counties, Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Houston, Madison, Trinity and Walker. * WHEN...Until 1000 AM CDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 202 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Between 4 and 8 inches of rain have fallen. Numerous roads remained closed due to flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... College Station, Bryan, Madisonville, Riverside, Bedias, Kyle Field, Iola and Wellborn. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
