In northeast Texas, Delta, Henderson, Hopkins, Lamar, Rains and Van Zandt. * WHEN...Through Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Rainfall totals of 1.5 to 3 inches, with isolated higher amounts up to 5 inches. Special Weather Statement issued April 28 at 2:18AM CDT by NWS Fort Worth TX At 218 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Briar to Willow Park to 6 miles south of Brock. Movement was east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Fort Worth, Haltom City, Keller, Weatherford, Watauga, Benbrook, Saginaw, Mineral Wells, White Settlement, Crowley, Azle, River Oaks, Sansom Park, Lake Worth, Eagle Mountain, Briar, Roanoke, Pecan Acres, Willow Park, and Reno. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
