Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued June 5 at 3:26PM CDT until June 5 at 11:00PM CDT by NWS La Crosse WI THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 274 IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN MINNESOTA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 4 COUNTIES IN SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA DODGE OLMSTED WABASHA WINONA IN WISCONSIN THIS WATCH INCLUDES 7 COUNTIES IN CENTRAL WISCONSIN CLARK IN NORTH CENTRAL WISCONSIN TAYLOR IN WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN BUFFALO JACKSON LA CROSSE MONROE TREMPEALEAU THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ALMA, ARCADIA, BLACK RIVER FALLS, DODGE CENTER, LA CROSSE, MEDFORD, NEILLSVILLE, ROCHESTER, SPARTA, TOMAH, WABASHA, WHITEHALL, AND WINONA.

Special Weather Statement issued June 5 at 4:35PM CDT by NWS La Crosse WI At 434 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 8 miles northwest of Jump River to near Cornell. Movement was east at 50 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 30 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Strong thunderstorms will be near... Jump River around 440 PM CDT. Westboro around 515 PM CDT. Chelsea around 520 PM CDT. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for central and north central Wisconsin.
