Special Weather Statement issued June 20 at 2:04PM MDT by NWS Cheyenne WY At 204 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms 12 miles east of Lamont, or 28 miles north of Rawlins, moving northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Lamont, Seminoe Campground, Miracle Mile, Seminoe Dam, Kortes Dam, Separation Lake, Dome Rock, Muddy Gap, and Seminoe State Park. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT for south central Wyoming.

Northeastern Carbon County in south central Wyoming... * Until 330 PM MDT. * At 239 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Dome Rock to Seminoe State Park to 8 miles north of Dugway Campground, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Hanna, Sinclair, Medicine Bow, Elk Mountain, Seminoe Campground, Fort Steele Historic Site, Shirley Basin, Kortes Dam, Seminoe State Park, Miracle Mile, Seminoe Dam, Prior Flat Campground, Dugway Campground, and Dome Rock. This includes Interstate 80 in Wyoming between mile markers 217 and 262. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
